Bull, Bridge Street
Tastefully renovated freehouse specialising in a range
of guest real ales from the Norfolk region - Woodforde's

Hotel in the centre of town with restaurant and set-back
decked and ballustraded outdoor seating area. Ever popular
with locals, this is a former coaching inn built in
1738, which has been known as The Crown since 1795!

Recent renovations have taken place at this popular
venue for Fakenham's youngsters who often spill out
into the seating area at the front. Live music and DJs
make it a lively place at the weekend.
The Henry IV, Greenway
Lane
1950s building situated slightly away from the town
centre. Greene King (Suffolk brewery) pub with Abbot
and IPA ales on handpump. Integral Hungry Horse restaurant
catering for families and kids. Sports themed with big
screen TV.

Gallery Bistro, Market Place
Trendy spot with a youngish clientele and outdoor cafe
style seating. A taste of the continent on a Norfolk
Market Square! Originally called The Red Lion in the
1700s, skilfully reconverted to a pub/bistro in 2000
after 30 years being used as council offices.

Real ales and a wide choice of wines. Restaurant and
hotel, originally a grain store by the water mill, with
lovely views by the river Wensum where you can sit and
feed the ducks.

Oak Inn, Oak Street
Restaurant pub in an imposing building formerly called
Cawdron House, which used to be a wine merchants (The
Vine pub, owned by the Cawdron family, stood here in
the early 1900s). Check out the cool paved wine cellar
eating areas, which make the place deceptively spacious.
The Rampant Horse, Queens Road
Popular and unpretentious pub with a youngish clientele.

Star, Oak Street
Traditional pub which is recorded as being the oldest
surviving pub in Fakenham - reputed to date from around
1600. Set back in a courtyard off this narrow but busy
road. Try the child-friendly beergarden on a nice day.
