Originally launched in 1999 and currently
in its third redesign, FakenhamWeb is a portal designed
to promote the town and cover local issues, providing
a central source of infomation for residents and visitors
to the area.

POST OFFICE CLOSURES

The Post Office has announced that 47 of its Norfolk branches are facing possible closure, with 6 others facing big changes to their operation. The branch at Wells Road, Fakenham is on the list, with others at Barney, Tittleshall and Great Walsingham barns also under threat.
A consultation process will now take place, with a deadline of the beginning of June for people to make their views known. More info available from HERE

Sheduled for late May is an open air picnic concert at Fakenham Racecourse. Three bands on the bill plus a spectacular firework finale.

NEW YEAR BUS CHANGES

The Norfolk Green 28 Fakenham Town service and the 29 Fakenham to Wells service will be subject to timetable changes from December 30. Additionally, Norfolk Green's X29 peak hour buses, running from Fakenham to Norwich, are being re-routed in Norwich via Drayton High Road.

NEW LIDL STORE OPENS

The new Fakenham Lidl store on Holt Road (on the site of the old Rainbow Supermarket) is due to open on Thursday 29th November. Opposite the store is the new Pharmacy, which had been trading from temporary accomodation for some time, during redevelopment. Lidl's doors open at 8am.
