| TRAVELLERS SITE REFERENDUM? - Thursday, March 01, 2007 A meeting is to be held at 7pm on Friday 2nd March in the Junior school, by a Fakenham action group, to determine whether a referendum can be called regarding the proposals for a travellers site in the town. If agreed, the proposal will be taken to the Fakenham town assembly meeting on April 11 and officially put to North Norfolk District Council who would then approve and run it. The question residents will be asked is, “Do you agree that a site for temporary stays for gypsies/travellers should be sited in the Fakenham area?” The Fakenham and Dereham Times is inviting any opinions on the subject to be sent by email to ian.clarke@archant.co.uk or julia.carter@archant.co.uk (full story) |
